Honoring Dakota Shields... |

It is with heavy heart that we report the passing of one of our little superstars. Six year old Dakota Shields of Henry County like many players this time of year was looking forward to the post-season. Shields family must be experiencing at this time. We ask that each USSSA Family please take a few moments of your time both on and off the field to pray for the Shields in their time of need.
To honor Dakota, Georgia USSSA Baseball has adopted a Voluntary Operating Resolution until the end of the 2009 season which states, all teams shall affix a #13 somewhere on their uniform, cap or helmet in memory of a little boy who now plays the game he loves with angels.
