| 2012 Coaches Conferences Announced! |
|
Building off the success of last year's Coaches Conference schedule, additional dates and sites have been added for 2012 in a continuing effort to help teams stay informed of rule changes, roster requirements, reclassification and the travel ball postseason. Sessions have been scheduled around the state and a maximum of four (4) coaches from every team are invited and strongly encouraged to attend a session. Choose which ever session best fits your geographies and / or schedule.
Due to time restraints, the conferences will not be open forum but rather Coaches wanting specific questions answered need to email such questions to the State Office in advance. Please include the session you will be attending in your email's subject line and send to info@gausssabaseball.com.
Tournament Directors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about their specific events. Drawings at each session will award door prizes to include free tournament entries. In addition, one Grand Prize will be awarded at each session for a FREE entry in to the Atlanta Super NIT played March 16-18, 2012. |

| 2012 USSSA Baseball Bat Rules Simplified... |

Effective January 1, 2012...the below rules pertaining to bats shall be enforced in age divisions 14U and younger without exception.

(1) Made with the NEW USSSA Mark (see image to right); or
(2) Is a qualified BBCOR bat; or
(3) Is Wood, shall be allowed in USSSA play.

Small Barrel Bat Comment: The above includes Tee Ball bats that are longer than 23 inches in length. Tee Ball bats 23 inches and shorter in length from Approved USSSA Licensed Manufacturers will continue to be allowed without the NEW or Old USSSA marks. |

Darin McGahey October 30, 1967 - July 7, 2010 |
|
Georgia USSSA Baseball is saddened to report the passing of an exceptional human being tragically taken from the baseball world for a higher purpose. Darin McGahey passed on July 7, 2010 in Pensacola, Florida in a tragic swimming accident. Darin is survived by his wife Ann and three wonderful sons. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Friend and Coach. He will be missed very much by his family, friends and the baseball community. Our prayers go to the McGahey family…God Bless. |
