Atlanta Umpires Clinic...A Huge Success!!!

Georgia USSSA Baseball ran its first Atlanta Umpires Clinic and what a success it was!  Seventy plus umpires from around Metro Atlanta where in attendance to learn from some of the best amateur umpires in the country.

Steve Manders (ACC & SEC) was the lead instructor and explained the basics and not so basics of the two man system including mechanics and communication with your partner.   Joe Willis (ACU & CACU) and Brandon Schultz (ACU) worked with each umpire on plate mechanics and calling balls and strikes.  In addition, Jack Martin (SCUA) was announced at the first Georgia USSSA Baseball Umpire-in-Chief (UIC) a new position in the State Office, one that will continue to expand in duties.
